Willmore Wilderness Park | Entry Page | Getting There | Topo Maps | Day Packs | Duffels | Bathing and Hygiene Use sunshowers or basins or big pots away from lakes and streams for bathing. The toilets in these camps are the usual dug out trenches near two trees that have a sitting place. They're not very clean due to the pits not having been cleaned. For that reason, you may wish to bring some hand wipes for your duffel bag and a trowell or good boot heals for digging cat holes. If you need to relieve yourself in the field, the usual practice is to move away from water at least 100 yards, dig a smal trench with the heel of your boot or lift some moss. Some people recommend carrying the waste TP and burning it in the firepit. But, unless there's a fire danger, burning and covering works well. Willmore is generally a wet place. Buried waste and TP biodegrade very rapidly. Bring your own cups for the trip. That way you won't be passing germs. As everywhere these days, washing hands will be important. The horse camps can be muddy and there will be some horse manure. A small shovel can help you clean the camping area.
