All of our trips include [things we bring] :
- sure-footed, well trained mountain horses
- comfortable saddles
- saddle bags
- a large wall tent with wood stove for meals, warmth and shelter
- a shower tent for privacy ....and Yes the water is HOT!
- tents for sleeping [bring your own backpacker's tent if you prefer].
- water containers for the day rides
- wholesome meals (breakfast, packed lunch, & dinner)
- long rain slickers [if you need them]
- wranglers and cooks
List of Things that You Bring: The combined weight of all of your personal gear should not exceed 45 Lbs
- strong duffel bag/rucksack for your gear
- warm 3 season sleeping bag
- therma-rest or closed cell foam pad
- warm coat [with hood if you don't have a warm, wide brimmed hat]
- warm vest
- sweater
- gloves [& oversize rubber dish gloves to fit over leather/wool gloves
- is a good idea]
- rain gear [slickers will be provided if you need them]
- jeans
- long sleeved shirt(s)
- warm underwear
- riding boots [must have a heel] - If you need to purchase appropriate boots, consider a pair of the new combination Riding/Hiking boots [ ex. Roper 'Horseshoes']. Western dress cowboy boots are of limited use in on mountain horseback trips.
- rubber or waterproof boots for camp
- hiking boots - for those who like to do a little climbing
- hat with a wide brim - western or tilly
- toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, sun and hand lotion, chap stick,
- insect repellant
- towel [& face cloth]
- shaving kit
- sunglasses
- comfortable camp shoes
- camera with lots of film & extra batteries
- flashlight & extra batteries and bulb
- bring your own wine and spirits in naline plastic containers
