We are looking down on the Ward Outfitting Camp at Eagle's Nest–the white dot. On our short trips we do day rides to scenic vistas like the one from which this shot was taken and return in the late afternoon. Evenings are spent relaxing around the campfire after we serve up a healthy dinner. On our longer trips, we start here for the first few nights and then move on to other camps. The strong trail showing on the image is the original mountain trail used by native peoples, trappers and hunters. It goes through a gap in the Persimmon Mountain Range where Eagles have built nests in the limestone walls. |
