Anasazi Images

While the masonry at the Chaco site was very sophisticated, the masonry at these smaller outlier sites was very primitive. Here you can still see the finger prints left by the Anasazi who build these storage bins. While it is tempting to put ones fingers into the impressions to get a feel for a human distance of over 700 years, visitors to these sites should neither touch nor enter them. Acids on our hands hasten the disintegration of the structures and the weight of a visitor on the lintel of a doorway could hasten its collapse.
