The Anasazi cleared the benches along the dry washes, irrigated them, and grew a small eared corn, beans and squash. The storage bins were sealed by a fitted stone in the entrance way to keep rodents out. Although it has been more than 700 years since the corn crib in the previous slide was abandoned, it is still possible to find these tiny corn cobs at the site.
