Tuwa Canyon is a branch of and joins Armstrong Canyon near Owachomo Bridge. Partly inside and partly outside Natural Bridges National Monument, is has several ruin complexes that are rarely seen by visitors to the park. The Big Foot - Little Foot ruin, one of the best in or near the monument is so named by my group for the adult and child footprints embedded in mud mortar next to the doorway of one of the buildings in the complex.

There are no established trails through the Tuwa and Armstrong washes. You can find your way in and out by using a topo map. Don't get lost if you try it.

Armstrong Canyon is itself a branch of White Canyon. Tuwa, Armstrong and White have their headwaters in the Bears Ears buttes and runs west for many miles along highway 94 until White Canyon joins Glenn Canyonand and Lake Powell.
