Rogue River Gorge, Oregon

About This Web Site

I was fortunate enough one day to have picked a series of small roads from Medford, Oregon to my destination Crater Lake. En route, I noticed a roadside turnout where I could enjoy a walk and photograph the scenes shown on this web site. Snow prevented me from reaching Crater Lake, but after this stop it didn't matter. It's the small things in life that count.

We are fortunate to have parks and nature reserves in our great land. We owe our good fortune to the citizens who came before us who saw the need to protect some of our lands from the relentless plow of development.

I hope that those of you also enjoy our natural landscapes will join or donate to the conservation organizations that are acting now to secure protection for scenic places for future generations. Our grandchildren will need these places even more than we do, and the wildlife for whom we are the stewards depend on these nature reserves and our good will right now.

If you are interested in any of the images on this website in print or jpeg file format, all proceeds from sales go to conservation organizations. For further details go to the copyright and sales page. If you are a school or not-for-profit organization, you may use these images for your own purposes, but please let me know if you do so.
