Note: The outfitters camps are generally located near running water. The main streams have girardia and should not be used without filtering or purification tabs or boiling. Many outfitters drink from the streams. My thought is that they have girardia and have symptoms a few times a year. If you're a first timer with girardia, the symptoms can range from mild to severe flu-like with diahrrea. A prescription is needed for the medicine needed to eliminate the girardia from your system.
