These hikers are relaxing after the long, 6-hour hike in. The camps are mostly occupied by hunters during the hunting season. They are a bit more beat up than a purist backpacker might like, but there are established firepits and biffies and outfitters often leave some wood for the next group to occupy the site. In general, outfitters haul out their garbege, but some don't. The outfitters I go out with often will clean up camps on their way out as well as do trail clearing where trees have fallen across the roads and trails. |
