Japanese Garden: Dublin, Ireland
I didn't visit Dublin to see Japanese Gardens. But when I heard about the garden near Dublin, I made a special trip out to see it. Created between 1906-1910 by Japanese father and son Eida and Minoru, the garden symbolise the 'Life of Man' and the meeting of Eastern and Western cultures. Like most such gardens I've visited, the lanterns are made of special materials and are meant to contribute to the beauty of the garden as they age and accumulate lichens and mosses. |
