Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado has extraordinary cliff dwellings. They date from about 550AD to about 1300AD. This is a ruin called the "Cliff Palace," one of several large cliff structures in the Mesa Verde Complex. In the1800s, a cowboy stumbled on this ruin. Imagine his surprise.
