The temple in the image is from the Rikugien Garden in Tokyo. This lovely landscape [stroll] garden was begun in 1695. The water, 'mountains' and plants depict 88 scenes from famous poems or waka. Rikugien Gardens have been designated a site of special historic interest by the Japanese Government.
