Squaw Canyon Monument

The Squaw Flats campground in the Needles District is located at the base of this sandstone monument. While you have to be there early in the morning to self-register for a camp site, it's well worth the trouble because this is unquestionably one of the best car camp sites in the National Parks system. If you arrive late, you can camp overnight [and get a shower, food & fuel] at the Canyonlands Outpost, just outside the park gates.
