Petroglyph Detail: Newspaper Rock State Historical Site

In this set of petroglyphs there is an obvious meaning. Two hunters attack a bison from horseback. The lizard like image, on the other hand, is anyone's guess. It could be a spirit figure or simply an artist's rendition of the local lizards, of which there are numerous species.
