White Canyon Viewed from the Bottom

The lushness of White Canyon indicates why the Anasazi found it habitable. There is often water in the canyon and when it rains, as the clouds above indicate it might on the day this shot was taken, the canyon is subject to flash floods where the stream can grow large enough to sweep away even these large cottonwoods.
